The Nonprofit FAQ

Where are useful nonprofit & fundraising resources on the net?

Nonprofit Connections -- General and Fundraising Links

Welcome to Nonprofit Connections, a basic Internet web link resource for the use of nonprofit entities done as part of the Information for Nonprofits FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). It is not our intent to create a comprehensive nonprofit resource compendium on this page but rather to simply link pages which do contain many such general resources and links of
interest to nonprofits and choice searching sites which can lead to such information. Comments, suggestions and constructive criticisms are welcome.

There are three sections to Nonprofit Connections:
General Internet Links & Resources of Interest to Nonprofits.

Fundraising Internet Links & Resources of Interest to Nonprofits.

Other discussions of fundraising resources that can be found on the Internet:

In January 1996 David Wehr Suggested: "Check out Fund-raising.com on the WWW at: http://www.fund-raising.com/ See the Idea bank and Resources pages for great fundraising ideas."

Jean Saffell wrote:

I have been following the posts re: raising money for the girl scouts. If your group wants to sell stuff to fundraise, I found an interesting fundraising site at: http://www.fundsraiser.com/index.html

There are some nifty ideas here. Some of which I have forwarded to other lists and people I know. I emailed for the custom board game (Christmas in July) and was impressed by the free sample sent. Now I have to see if any of the small towns I work with would be interested.

Just as a disclaimer- I have no connection to the site in any way shape or form. I just mention it because it might have some ideas you would want to explore with various groups.

Is there a site on the net that has an "Action Plan" or TIPS for setting up a successful fundraiser? Or are their any great books that you could recommend?

Doug Jamieson replied:

Check the Fundraising Management and Fundraising Marketing sections in The Library at CharityVillage: http://www.charityvillage.com/cv/charityvillage/ires.asp. Should be something useful there.

Plus, for general discussions of Internet resources of interest to nonprofits, look through the section on that subject at this website -- "The Nonprofit FAQ at Idealist.org" -- at http://www.idealist.org/en/faqcat/41-78
