The Nonprofit FAQ

Is it difficult and expensive to establish a charitable trusts?
Normally, a donor's attorney will draft the trust, it will be signed,
and assets will be transferred into the trust. Drafting time may be
quite lengthy, and legal fees considerable. You should know that the IRS
has published approved documentation to establish single-life or
multiple-life Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts or Charitable
Remainder Unitrusts. Although tax and legal counsel should always be
consulted, use of these IRS pre-approved forms may save time and expense
for a potential donor.
