Exotic Fundraising
From: "William F. Vartorella" ([email protected]) wrote 1 Apr 1996 in
talk-amphilrev on the subject "Funding Exploration and other Exotic
Projects/Web Site":

We have developed a web site (and discussion group) for extremely
exotic/unusual fundraising projects in the U.S. and abroad. (Some of you
will recognize my name from articles in a host of fundraising journals,
newsletters, etc. and our seminars in the U.S. and overseas).

If you are involved in securing funding for biodiversity, rescuing
historic (sunken) aircraft, health care in Eastern Europe, saving the
rainforests, Egyptology, mummy DNA, dinosaur research, or other projects
most development types only DREAM ABOUT working on, this is the place to
look.

Free articles and a weekly posting, via e-mail of exotic funding,
derring-do, donor tips, and occasional glimpses into a proprietary
global funding database under construction since 1989.

The site is still under construction--no graphics yet to slow you down.

Come visit us at www.colasc.com/Marketing_&_Fundraising/ (Note: This URL seems to be difficult to present....probably because of the underlines and ampersand. It may be necessary for you to copy and paste it into the "GoTo" window of your browser instead of clicking on it in the text.)

Our latest e-mail briefing involved ancient sunken ships, where to get
free weekly e-mail on the latest RFPs for biomedical research, etc.

Or write us at [email protected]. In the message body, please write

subscribe

and then give us 25 words or fewer of what you are working on, your
needs, etc. This discussion group is moderated, which means you won't
have to worry about seeing messages "from the edge." Truth is stranger
than fiction, even in the world of professional fundraising.

Check us out--and thanks,
