Community Counts: A Quality of Life Score Card for Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, & Webster Parishes

The Community Foundation provides an annual report, Community Counts, that serves as a scorecard on the quality of life for the Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which includes Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto, and Webster Parishes (Webster Parish was added to the Shreveport-Bossier City MSA in February 2013). By tracking progress in each of these priority indicators and comparing them to peer communities of similar demographics and median household income, community leaders and citizens can make informed decisions to prioritize resources or direct volunteer hours toward our area’s most-urgent needs. Our hope is that the vital information contained in this report will be used by individuals, organizations and government agencies to better inform their actions and investments in improving our community as well as to recognize and celebrate the things we are doing well! The 2016 Community Counts report examines 25 indicators, using the most recent data available for the year ending December 31, 2015. The links to the full Community Counts reports for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 are available below.
