Surveys on Attitudes on and Participation in the Performing Arts (The Urban Institute, 2002)


This series of telephone surveys was conducted in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Seattle, Anchorage, and Denver in 2002 in order to learn more about community participation and attitudes toward the performing arts.

The survey was commissioned through a coalition of professional performing arts support organizations consisting of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, the American Symphony Orchestra League, Dance/USA, OPERA America, and the Theatre Communications Group with funding from the Pew Charitable Trusts.
