BARNSTABLE, MA

Barnstable is the largest town on Cape Cod both in population and land area. Composed of seven villages and even more zip codes, Barnstable has the largest student enrollment of any town on Cape Cod and is also the Cape's commercial and transportation hub. Hyannis, Barnstables largest village hosts the Barnstable Municipal Airport, large shopping centers, and a vibrant night life.

The Town of Barnstable is extraordinarily representative of the socioeconomic disparities that the Cape Cod Community struggles with. There are intense gaps in economic well-being among residents that varies village to village. Osterville, one of Cape Cod's wealthiest areas is situated not far from Hyannis, a part of Cape Cod where residents struggle each year.

Barnstable has been the summer destination of the Kennedy family for more than a century.
